2025 Science Fair Special Awards & Scholarships
Sponsoring
Sponsoring a special award or scholarship is a way to enhance student participation and excitement of winning. Scholarships and awards will be recognized at the Special Awards Reception to be held after the Gwinnett Regional Science Fair at PCOM Campus on Friday, March 14th, 2025 at 6 p.m.
Scholarship
Scholarship amount of $500 or $1000. Selection for the award is the top-scoring single senior project in one of the 23 project categories or a high school project selected by the organization’s team of judges present at the Science Fair. Scholarships are facilitated for students through the GCPS Foundation.
Special Award
A community organization creates special awards to highlight a K-12 student’s STEM achievement based on specified criteria and presents
a prize of their choice.
Selection Process
The award may be selected by organization representatives at the event evaluating projects or specific criteria may be provided for STEM Staff to select winners based on criteria… (i.e. specific cluster, specific project category, highest scoring project in a category, single or team project, etc.) Physical awards presented can be a certificate, monetary award, gift card, or tangible item (legos, stem kits, etc.).
Example: ACG Sustainable Innovation Award – $50 Gift Card and plaque created by ACG.
